My future profession

My future profession is a historian. Historians learn past. This profession is very important. Historians have many specializations. For example, they are divided into specialists in ancient history, medieval history and New Time history. Historians are also divided on fields of historical science. For example, there are specialists for emblems. One of the first heraldists was Francis Santi. Specialists for emblems have the task to make emblem for areas and peoples. There are also people who study primitive societies, there are archaeologists and paleontologists. They dig up antiquities, for example mammoths or dinosaurs. There are also specialists for sources and methodologists, they have task to research codification, and interpretation source. They determine when this source was written, who wrote it, if there is a true. Historians also work as archivists and museum workers. Their task is to preserve valuables, to classify them and to catalog. Historians work as teachers in schools and universities. There are also more narrow specializations, for example fashion historians or art historians, music historians, cinema historians.

Historian must have a range of skills which helps him in his work. There are skills: The ability to choose the right material for the study, interpretation skills, the ability to properly tell the material and historian also should not afraid to speak in public. Historian must have the ability to write reports, articles and books. Besides, historian needs pedagogical skills. Some historians need knowledge and skills from other sciences because of their specialization, for example, biology, physics, mathematics, chemistry, anthropology. Historians can work in journalism and state structures; they may be officials and may be advisers. In addition historians can go after bachelor in other sciences, for example philosophy, political science, sociology. In general, skills, possessed by historians, are rather wide and can be applied in various fields.

Историки могут работать в журналистике и государственных структурах, они могут быть чиновниками, а могут быть и советниками. Кроме этого, историки могут после бакалавриата уходить в другие науки, например в философию, политологию или социологию. В общем, навыки, которые есть у историка, довольно-таки широки и могут применяться в разных областях деятельности.

My future profession

Future profession is a very important choice in every human life. Sooner or later everybody thinks about the profession. There are a lot of interesting professions in the world and I"d love to learn a few of them. It is very difficult to make a choice once and not to make a mistake. But desires don’t always coincide with possibilities.
Sometimes we do not choose what we need: some of us go to learn, where our friends learn, others study profession chosen by their parents. And only later a person realizes: “It’s not my cup of tea”: soul does not lie to her. The person making the choice must think not about how this or that profession will be paid or if there is a demand for it, and not about the tips of others. You should certainly listen to the opinions of adults, they never wish you bad, but it is the choice of your own and it must be done independently.

On the verge of leaving school we are often asked what we want to be, where we proceed, what we are going to do in future. Some answer confidently what they want to link their lives with, others respond less confident, still doubting their choice. Not to suffer the wrong choice of profession in the future, you need to treat it with full responsibility and seriousness. But I still believe that it is not necessary to doubt in your choice, you need to act, to follow your heart’s calling.

For a long time I had doubts about my career choice, but at the last moment I centered college to study for a degree in travel and tourism. Now I"m on the third course and I do not regret my choice at all. I’d never thought before about the profession I chose. And now I"m glad I took the risk. I faced a great variety of opportunities. I have enough time to study and work, and I am not a burden. Besides, I can travel around the world not only as a tourist but as a specialist as well.

Youth is a period of one’s life that is more likely to commit errors. And even if after 15 years of training, you have not managed to find yourself - don’t give up. The main thing is to do what you like. Your job should not be just a job, should be fun, should not be a burden and should not be used for making money only. I would like people not to feel sorry for their choice of future profession. So I wish all of you to find the occupation you like.

Будущая профессия - это очень важный выбор в жизни каждого человека. Рано или поздно о профессии задумываются все. На свете есть множество интересных профессий, и я бы хотела выучиться на некоторые из них. Сделать выбор сразу и не ошибиться очень трудно. Но не всегда желания совпадают с возможностями.

Иногда мы выбираем не то, что нам нужно: некоторые из нас идут учиться туда, где учатся наши друзья, другие учатся той профессии, которую выбрали для них родители. И только позже человек понимает, что это не его профессия: не лежит к ней душа. Человек, делающий выбор, должен думать не о том, как будет оплачиваться та или иная профессия, есть ли спрос на нее, и не о том, что посоветуют тебе другие. Конечно, следует прислушаться к мнению взрослых, они никогда не пожелают плохого, но это выбор каждого и его нужно сделать самостоятельно.

На пороге выхода из школы нас часто спрашивают, кем мы хотим быть, куда поступим, чем мы собираемся заниматься в будущем. Некоторые отвечают уверенно, с чем они хотят связать свою жизнь, другие отвечают менее уверенно, все еще сомневаясь в своем выборе. Чтобы не мучиться по поводу неправильного выбора профессии в будущем, нужно отнестись к этому со всей ответственностью и серьезностью. Но я все же считаю, что не нужно сомневаться в своем выборе, нужно действовать, идти туда, куда тянет.

Долгое время я сомневалась в своем выборе профессии, но в последний момент поступила в колледж на специальность «Туризм». Сейчас я на 3 курсе и нисколько не жалею о своем выборе. Я никогда и не задумывалась раньше о той профессии, которую выбрала и сейчас рада, что рискнула. Передо мной открылось множество возможностей. Я успеваю учиться и работать, и мне это не в тягость. Кроме того, я смогу путешествовать по всему миру не только, как турист, но еще и как специалист.

Молодость - это такой период жизни, в который больше всего совершаешь ошибок. И даже, если после 15 лет обучения вы так и не нашли себя — не надо сдаваться. Главное - делать то, что тебе нравится. Ваша работа не должна быть просто работой, она должна приносить удовольствие, не должна быть обузой, не должна быть только для зарабатывания денег. Очень хочется, чтобы люди не жалели в будущем о своем выборе. Поэтому я желаю всем найти занятие по душе.

What do you want to be when you grow up? We have heard this question many times during our school years. Perhaps, it was difficult for us to give a definite answer earlier. But now we understand that the time to choose our future profession has come. Finishing school is the beginning of an independent life for millions of school-leavers. Many roads are open before us: technical schools, colleges and universities. Centuries ago there were only a few jobs: people were farmers, bakers, butchers or carpenters. Today there are thousands of different kinds of jobs, and new ones are constantly appearing. No wonder that it is not an easy thing to make the right choice.

When choosing a future career, we should consider different factors. In my opinion, money is one of the most important factors when you make a choice. There are highly paid jobs and low-paid jobs. For example, a businessman, a president or a film star, are highly paid jobs. A worker, a doctor or an engineer, are low-paid jobs. I think everybody wants to earn as much money as possible. Training, promotional prospects and conditions should be also taken into account.

On the other hand, it"s good when you get satisfaction from your job. It is very important to choose a profession that suits your interests. In my opinion, a job should be interesting and socially important. Some jobs are considered to be more suitable for men and others for women. For example, the professions of secretary or nurse are more suitable for women. A lifeguard or a pilot are more likely the jobs for men. You should also decide whether you want to work indoors or outdoors.

To make the right choice, you should take into account your traits of character. It goes without saying that to become a good doctor you must be patient, caring and kind. Teacher"s work requires love for children, profound knowledge of subjects, and the ability to explain. A secretary has to be efficient and careful in order to do her work quickly and accurately. Salespeople need to be friendly and persuasive, to get people buy their products.

There are so many people who influence us in choosing our occupation. Parents and friends play a very important role in our choices.

My father works for an international company as a managing director. It is a highly paid job and it offers a lot of opportunities. You can travel abroad and meet different people. My father is a friendly person and he is easy to talk to. He thinks that I must choose my future profession according to my taste and preferences. I respect him and I want to become a businessman, too.

I have always been interested in economics and I am good at Maths. I have an aptitude for working with people, and I think I"m rather communicative and have good social skills. I have good analytical abilities and I am good at problem-solving. Besides, I am good at English. English has become the standard language for all kinds of international business communications. To know English today is absolutely necessary for every businessman.

To become a successful businessman you should know a lot. So after finishing school I want to enter the university and to study marketing or management. Management deals mainly with people. A manager is a person who directly supervises people in an organization. Managers spend a great deal of time communicating, coordinating and making decisions affecting the daily operations of their organization. Almost everything, a manager does, involves decisions, and in decision-making there is always uncertainty and risk. So managing is a very interesting, but difficult, job.

Marketing deals with market research and commercial activity in general. It involves analyzing business situations, evaluating market opportunities, developing market strategies and controlling their implementation. It is important for a specialist in marketing to be flexible and prepared to make adjustments where necessary, as it is unlikely that any marketing plan will succeed exactly as planned.

I haven"t decided yet what to study. But I still have time to think and to choose.

Sooner or later everybody has to think about his or her future profession. But when you are just sixteen, it’s so difficult to , and so easy to make a mistake! Of course, some people from the very childhood know for sure what they want to be. For example, my best friend has always known that she will be a doctor. She attends special courses for enhanced studying of biology and chemistry, and she believes in her success. As for me, I don’t know exactly what I want. I like a lot of things, and I do well in most subjects. And many professions appear interesting to me.

In early childhood children tell their parents whom they would like to be when they grow up. In school students begin thinking of their future profession. There are lots of professions in the world, and all of them are interesting and exciting. So it"s very hard to discover your vocation in life.

The choice of profession depends on your abilities. If you are good at humanities you should choose something in this field. And if you are good at natural sciences you should choose something closely connected with them. I would like to become a chemist because I like chemistry. I think that it is a very interesting subject, but I am not so good at it so I think that I am not suitable for this profession. In spite of all I possess some qualities which are needed in this field.

I think that my future profession will be closely connected with computers. I am capable to work with them, and I also possess the qualities needed in this work. They are accuracy, energy, carefulness. But I hesitate if I have enough patience. I must develop it if I want to become a computer operator. I know that it would be better to choose a profession of an interpreter or any other occupation connected with Russian and literature because I am good at these subjects but when I began to study the computer skills that were what I have been looking for. In our modern world it"s hard to do without computers. They are needed everywhere, and I hope that my interests in this subject will never change in spite of any circumstances.
